DetailsHere, concrete with the right aggregate and a retarder spray is the most common. I had a small exposed aggregate (12x22) section put in by a contractor friend and they ordered the "McDonalds" mix (3/8" to 1/2" rounded river rock) that is always available.
DetailsIt is exposed aggregate that looked OK wet when first washed to expose the small rocks. As it dries/cures, however, the surface appears splotchy as if the washing was not consistent or complete. It looks as though the small rocks were exposed more in some sections and less in others. Don't get in a hurry and don't scorch the blade if you use a diamond blade. XXX .
